Monolit is a cordless and dimmable LED table lamp designed for Epos of Sweden.

Brief
During my time at Epos of Sweden I was given the opportunity to design a luminaire for their first collection. They already had a few products in the collection and this lamp had to speak the same language. The founders of Epos of Sweden have backgrounds in mechanical engineering and electronics which they wanted to leverage to create a modern and functional luminaire.

Process
Sketches were used to explore different directions within the boundaries of the brief. A concept was then chosen based on innovative quality and feasability. The concept was further developed using sketch-models, CAD, renderings and rapid prototyping in an iterative process. The mechanical solution was designed by my colleagues at Epos of Sweden.
